Arrival at Cairo International airport, where you will be meet and greet by our representative, and transferred to your hotel. After checking in to the hotel and refreshment, you will visit the Old Cairo: The Hanging church (AL MUALLAQA) –4th century structure on the southern gate of the Babylon fortress. The churh is dedicated to Virgin Mary, and its most pride treasure is 14th century wall painting of the Nativity, Church of St. Sergius – one of the oldest Coptic churches in Egypt, dating back to the 4th century. Then, you will also visit the Church of St. Mercurius, dedicated to the Coptic “saint of the two swords,” was built in the 6th century and underwent intensive restoration during the 12th century. Transfer back to hotel.
After breakfast you will check out from the hotel and depart to morning visit of the Old Cairo and Great Pyramids of Giza, as we as the Sphinx. You will be transferred to Nuweiba and checked in the hotel. Rest of the evening reserved for leisure.
Morning transfer to border town of Taba and then cross over to Eilat to enter Israel. You will be meet and assisted by our guide in Israel. We will proceed to the city of Jericho, where we will able to view and visit Mt. of Temptation by the cable, which represents the walls of the old Jericho and Zaccheus. You can have lunch in Jericho ( Optional), and then proceed to The Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, and see the panorama of city from there. Also you will visit the Ascension Chapel, shrine located on the Mount of Olives, in the At-Tur district of Jerusalem. Visit to the Church of Pater Noster, which is a part of a Carmelite monastery’, also known as the Sanctuary of the Eleona.
After the breakfast in the hotel we will star this day bt visit to the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane, also will be able to see the Rock of Agony located in the Basilica of Agony. Continue to visit the Church of St. Anne, Pool of Bethesda and then to Via Dolorosa, starting from the first station (condemnation) to the fourteen station inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, which commemorates the hill of crucifixion and the tomb of Christ’s burial. Across the old City of Jerusalem (The old Pazar) and the Jewish Quarter, you will be able to see the remains of the holy temple and the Wailing Wall. Our cisit continues to the Mount Zion area, where you will be able to see the Upper Room, place where Jesus and his disciples had their last supper. There is also King David’s tomb, the Dormition Abbey and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu.
After the breakfast, we will visit the ancient Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, which was built by Constantine the Great and his mother Helena in the 4th century. In this Holy place, St. Heronymus wrote the first Latin translation of the Bible – the “Volgata”. We shall also visit the Milk Grotto and the Shepherds Fields in Beth-Sahour. At noon we will drive to visit Hebron (20 miles south of Jerusalem), where Abraham bought the cave of Machpela for four hundred shekels of silver from Ephron the Hittite. We will visit the St. John in the Mountains church, built on the place where the house of St. John once was.
This morning we start by visiting old city of Jaffa, famous for its association with the biblical stories of Jonah, Solomon and Saint Peter as well as the mythological story of Andromeda and Perseus. From here we drive to Caesarea, the magnificent port-city built by King Herod the Great. From this place St. Peter went to Rome and started with his first miracles. In Caesarea there is Pilate stone, a damaged block of carved limestone with a partially intact inscription attributed to, and mentioning, Pontius Pilate, a prefect of the Roman province of Judaea. We continue to Haifa and Mt. Carmel, and after noon drive to visit Nazareth, where we will see the basilica and the Grotto of the annunciation, the old Synagogue, and Mary’s well.
Today we visit the places where Jesus started his ministry at the Sea of Galilee, and Mt. of the Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount was given. Then we will proceed to Tabgha, the place with a vast supply of water and traditionally known as the site where Jesus fed 5000 with only 2 fish and 5 loaves, walking down to Primacy of Peter ( Mensa Christi), and then proceed to the town of Christ – Capernaum.
Visit Kibbutz Ginosar, the biggest and oldest banana plantations in whole of Israel. Also we will sail on the sea in a boat similar to the boat used by Jesus and his disciples. Proceed to Baptismal Site on the Holy River Jordan.
Early in the morning we move to Mt. Tabor, which some Christians have identified as the site of the Transfiguration. Then we proceed to Qumran and Dead Sea, and later to Eilat border to Egypt. Arrive to St. Catharine Check and checking in hotel. Here we have early dinner and rest for the early morning climb.
Wake up at at 2am to start the climb Mt. Sinai. After that, return to hotel for rest and breakfast. Checkout and visit sites in St. Catherine, which is the place where Moses climbed up the mountain to receive the Ten Commandments. In this area there is also famous Greek Orthodox Monastery, which is built around the Burning Bush, and the well where Moses met his wife Zebura. We will visit the place where the Israelites camped when Moses went to receive the Ten Commandments.
Our next stop is Rephidim, where the Israelites went into battle with Amalekites. From here, we will visit the Springs of and continue to the Wilderness of Sin, where the miracle of Manna and Quails took place and view the seventy two palm trees.
Then we will cross the famous Suez Canal that separates Asia and Africa by the tunnel under the channel. The last stop today is Cairo and check in to the hotel.
Breakfast in the hotel, and rest of day for leisure. Later transfer to airport for final departure.
